Iced Mint Green Tea

(Serves 6-8)

  • 2 litres of water
  • 8 bags of LPQ Chunmee Green Tea
  • 1 bunch of fresh mint

To serve:

  • Ice cubes
  • Agave nectar or sugar
  • Mint sprigs

With spring underway, we are thinking green! Green tea, that is. Welcome the warming weather by replacing your hot tea with a cool, refreshing Iced Mint Green Tea.

Starting with our organic Chunmee Green Tea (available at your local LPQ), this recipe combines the bright fruit and floral notes of green tea with cool and calming mint.

Perfect as a daily detox or weekend treat, enjoy this elegant tea as is or sweetened with raw agave nectar or sugar.

Place half of the water in a medium pot or tea kettle, and bring to a low boil. Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat. Add the tea bags and the mint to the pot. Cover and allow to steep for 10 minutes.

Once the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and add the remaining cold water. Stir in agave nectar or sugar to taste, if desired and refrigerate until completely cool. Serve over ice and garnish with mint sprigs.
