On July 22, 2013, Le Pain Quotidien proudly opened its 36th NY area location in the Yorkville neighborhood.

Nestled on the corner of 83rd and 1st, our charming and newest UES location is the perfect addition to the Yorkville neighborhood, within walking distance of Museum Mile, Gracie Mansion, and Carl Schurz Park on the East River. This new location suits the families and young professionals who make up a large part of the evolving neighborhood occupied by schools, townhouses, arts and cultural institutions. With the Second Avenue Subway line scheduled to open in 2016, the neighborhood will only continue to grow.

Seating 50 inside and another 10 on the soon-to-be-open patio, the design team added many whimsical touches to the quaint space. The brick herringbone of the entryway embodies a rustic country style and is further enhanced by a cast-iron window wall that separates the dining room, and beautiful pieces of reclaimed Belgian millwork add characteristic LPQ warmth. One of the design stars of this store is the unique pastry display, which uses cantilevered marble trays to march our viennoiserie up and around a pole, showcasing our fare in a spectacular new fashion.
